- School didn't tell me that the world and life isn't fair
- School failed to mention that the people who run things don't have our best interests at heart
- School bypassed the fact that people mainly want to know what's in it for them - it's not a bad thing, it's just human nature
- School didn't mention that I didn't necessarily need tangible skills like maths or being able to remember facts, and that being organised was a skill in itself
- School preferred it if I didn't question everything I was told
- School didn't teach me to communicate and interact with people in everyday life
- School didn't teach me how to make meringues
- School failed to mention that other women would not necessarily be on my side and that they were more likely to be my critics than men
- School failed to teach me that nothing is as you thought it would be and that not everything is possible even if you want it really, really badly and work for it really, really hard
- School didn't mention that so much emphasis would be put on my appearance rather than my mind and the content of my heart and soul
- School didn't tell me that having high self esteem and self-confidence was rare
- School didn't cover how to put on make up or keep plants alive
